Full-tuition scholarship for high school-age writer is renewable for each year the winner attends Interlochen Arts Academy.
The 2019 contest is open to students in grades 8-11 during the 2018-19 school year. The winner will receive a full-tuition scholarship to Interlochen Arts Academy for each year they attend Interlochen! The deadline for entries has been extended to Dec. 7, 2018.
This one-of-a-kind program is located in The Writing House, the only classroom building in the world dedicated exclusively to the development of high school-aged writers. Students benefit from small class sizes and a faculty of published writers who are also experienced and dedicated teachers. Each student is closely mentored by the faculty and given numerous venues to read their work in public and publish it in national magazines. They do this in an environment where they are surrounded by other young artists from across the country and around the world.
The contest is generously endowed by the Edmund F. and Virginia B. Ball Foundation. It is a way to encourage exceptional young writers to pursue the development of their craft.
Do not miss out on this opportunity to join a community of young artists who are as dedicated and driven to grow in skill and creativity as you are!
